Delete Your Account

Applies to accounts on both the Sell My Scrap website and Android app — they share one account.

You can request permanent deletion of your Sell My Scrap account and all associated data at any time. Deletion is free and available whether or not the app is still installed.

What Gets Deleted

• Your profile (name, email, phone number)
• Your saved addresses
• Your pickup request history and any photos you attached to requests
• Your login credentials

What We Keep, and Why

If you've had a completed, paid pickup, we may retain basic transaction records (date, amount paid, scrap category) for a limited period as required for accounting and tax purposes. This does not include your name, contact details, or address once your account is deleted.

How Long It Takes

We process deletion requests within 7 business days of receiving your request, and will confirm by email once complete.
